Grief engulfs Nderu village in Limuru following gruesome murder of two brothers

Grief has engulfed Nderu village in Limuru Constituency, Kiambu County, after two siblings were brutally murdered by unknown persons under unclear circumstances.
The family of Joseph Kimani is mourning the death of their sons who were killed in Kamulu area in Nairobi County last week.
Johnson Karuga, 26, and his 24-year-old brother Kevin Kimani were last seen on the night of September 4, 2022 in a club at Kamulu where they were watching a football match before missing to report back home.
The father of the deceased said the family started tracing their whereabouts the next day since their phones were switched off. Their bodies were found dumped at a bridge in Joska area, one week after their disappearance. They were taken to City Mortuary.
Bodies in bad shape
Speaking after meeting the bereaved family at Tigoni Hospital mortuary where the bodies were transferred from City Mortuary, Haki Africa Executive Director Hussein Khalid said the bodies bore injuries likely inflicted by a blunt object.
Khalid urged the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to hasten investigations and apprehend the perpetrators behind the heinous act.
HAKI Africa - a pan-African human rights organization - has vowed to walk with the family in each step during this difficult time, even as they seek for justice for the family.
