Ugandan human rights activist and author Stella Nyanzi has been involved in an accident along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway.
The early morning accident involved five cars at the foggy climb of the Rift Valley view point, Lari.
The vocal President Yoweri Museveni critic was unhurt in the accident.
“After enjoying the amazing view of the Rift Valley on our way to Nakuru, our vehicle was involved in a five-ways traffic collision on the highway at Lari,” she says.

“We crashed into a car that had crashed into another car that had knocked a car off the highway. The car behind us also crashed into our car. Thankfully we are all alive and well.”
Nyanzi is in Kenya to promote her latest book – a poetry collection called “Eulogies of My Mouth: Poems for A Poisoned Uganda!” She has two other poetry books to her name.
The author was heading to Nakuru from Nairobi to share her poems with Tribeless Youth at Ubuntu Creative Space.

This past week, she has held several events notably at the Kenya National Theatre, Cheche Bookshop and Cafe, Ukombozi Library and Comrades Book House. She also had events in Kariobangi and Kibera.
On September 13, Nyanzi wrote a poem for newly-sworn in President William Ruto advising him: You better be good to Kenya, you Ruto!/You better be good to the people in Kenya.
