Five dead, several others injured in Nairobi-Mombasa Highway head-on collision

At least five people are feared dead while several others have been injured after a PSV vehicle they were travelling in was involved in a grisly accident on the busy Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.

The accident happened when the PSV mini-bus collided with a lorry head-on at Kanga area near Mtito Andei in Makueni County on Sunday, September 25.

Kibwezi sub-County Police Commander George Kasimiri, confirming the incident, says that among the five who died when the 18-seater PSV collided with the lorry are three children.

The police boss said that five other passengers sustained injuries and have been taken to Makindu Level 4 Hospital.
