MP Kimani Ichung'wah is National Assembly Majority Leader

Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichungwah is the new National Assembly Majority Leader.
Ichungwah was declared majority leader after a lengthy ruling by Speaker Moses Wetangula on which coalition - between Kenya Kwanza Alliance and Azimio La Umoja One Kenya - is the majority coalition in the August house.
Ichungwah will be deputised by Kilifi North MP Owen Baya. Consequently, South Migirango MP Sylvanus Osoro will be the Chief Whip, deputised by Marsabit Woman Rep. Naomi Waqo.
Minority House positions
Speaker Wetangula's ruling means that Azimio La Umoja One Kenya is the minority coalition in the House, and therefore takes the minority positions.
Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi will be the Minority Leader, with Kathiani MP Robert Mbui deputising him.
Suna East MP Junet Mohamed will be the Minority Whip, deputized by Nominated MP Sabina Chege.
