Duale: I'm worth KSh851M, including 231 camels in Kitui

Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has revealed that he is worth KSh851 million.

Appearing before the Parliamentary Committee of Appointments on Monday, October 17 to be vetted, Duale said that the KSh851 million valuation includes the heard of 231 camels he have in Kitui County.

"I am worth Ksh.851 million including the assets I own and the camels and sheep I own. I even had to go and value my 231 camels somewhere in Kitui county,' said Duale.

The former National Assembly Majority Leader further said that his current annual income is about KSh10 million.

"My current source of income annually in terms of rentals and others is about Ksh.10 million," he noted.

With regards to using the military in civilian processes, Duale said that it is not right to bring in Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to run civilian facilities. "If that is not checked, you will find a general becoming the clerk of the National Assembly. Let everyone remain in the place the Constitution envisaged."
