Suspect in murder of Ida Odinga's bodyguard fails to take plea, tells court he's sick

A suspect in the murder of Barrack Oduor, the bodyguard of Ida Odinga, was on Monday, October 17 arraigned in court.
Collins Okundi appeared before Kisumu Senior Resident Magistrate Stela Telewa, but he failed to take plea.
Prosecution led by John Oyimbo asked for more days to complete on their investigations into the matter and record statements from witnesses who were at the scene of the crime.
During the court session, the suspect said that he was unwell and had a problem with his teeth and right wrist. The court allowed him to seek medication in hospital.
The matter will be mentioned on October 31, 2022.
The suspect has been on the run since Friday, October 14 when he allegedly shot Oduor at Victoria Gardens Estate in Riat area, Kisumu County.
