Liverpool FC owners Fenway Sports Group has now said that they are open to offers of selling the Premier League club.
In a statement released on Monday evening, the Group said that it will consider offers for interested third-party to become shareholders.
"FSG has frequently received expressions of interest from third parties seeking to become shareholders in Liverpool. FSG has said before that under the right terms and conditions we would consider new shareholders if it was in the best interests of Liverpool as a club," the statement reads.
However, the group has said that it is still committed to the success of the 19-times Premier League champions.
"FSG remains fully committed to the success of Liverpool, both on and off the pitch," the statement adds.
The group which also owns the Boston Red Sox bought the club in October 2010 from George Gillett and Tom Hicks for £300million.
The Merseyside football giants are currently valued at $4.45 billion.
