Man who threw lover he met on Facebook off 12th floor sentenced to 5 years in prison

On September 13, 2020, Eunice Wangari left her parents home in Karura to pay a visit to her boyfriend - Moses Njoroge - in Nairobi.
This was going to be the couple's first date after they met virtually through social media platform - Facebook.
Wangari met Njoroge at Ambank House within Nairobi CBD where he was working. They went out for their date and returned to Ambank House, and proceeded to the 12th floor.
The couple spent the evening at the office and at around 7:30 pm, she informed him that it was time to go back home.

However, it appears that Njoroge had other plans... to spend the whole night with the woman.
An argument ensued between the two, with the furious Njoroge pushing Wangari off the 12th floor. Fortunately for her, she fell three floors to the 9th floor.
She was rushed to the Kenyatta National Hospital by Good Samaritans Wangari, after suffering serious pelvic injuries.
Wangari was hospitalised for more than two months at KNH.
Man sentenced
On Thursday, December 1, justice was finally served after a Nairobi court sentenced Njoroge to five years in prison.
This was after Njoroge was found guilty of causing bodily harm to Wangari.
