Nyoro, Gakuyo and other Kiambu Azimio leaders jump ship to President Ruto's camp

Several political leaders in Kiambu County who lost in the August 9 general election have now pledged their support for President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.
Former Kiambu governor James Nyoro, former Deputy Governor Joyce Ngugi, Thika town Jubilee parliamentary aspirant James Gakuyo, and Kikuyu constituency KANU aspirant Stephen Kigathi say they've accepted they lost, and the time for politicking is over.
The say the country's economy is in dire need of transformation and Ruto and Rigathi are up to the task.
Speaking in Kiambu town yesterday, the politicians said that they will support the government of President Ruto to ensure it fulfils its pledges.
Noting that several policies by the Kenya Kwanza administration are already having a positive impact, the leaders said they are ready to provide any support and guidance needed by those in office.
