The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairperson Wafula Chebukati and commissioners Abdi Guliye and Boya Molu are set to take home KSh32.7 million collectively as they exit office on Tuesday, January 17.

Chebukati will take a KSh12.4 million gratuity package which is 31% of his annual pensionable salary. The two commissioners will take home KSh10.3 million each.

According to Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), Chebukati earned a monthly basic salary of KSh554,400, house allowance of KSh200,000 and a salary market adjustment of KSh169,600. He took home a gross salary of KSh924,000.

The commissioners earned a basic salary of KSh459,113, a house allowance of KSh150,000 and a salary market adjustment of KSh156,075. This amounted to a gross salary of KSh765,188.

The three have worked for IEBC for six years on a non-renewable six-year term.
