Raila's rallies are being sponsored by the Kenyatta family, Oscar Sudi alleges
- "Hawajakubali kuwa walishindwa," Oscar Sudi says of the August, 2022 general election.
- Raila held a rally in Kamukunji, Nairobi, on Monday with another planned for Jacaranda.
Outspoken Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi alleges that the rallies by Azimio leader Raila Odinga challenging the presidential victory of William Ruto are being sponsored by members of the Kenyatta family.
In a video posted on his social media accounts on Tuesday February 24, the Ruto-loyalist claims the sponsorship of the rallies is also an indirect way of opposing the increase of gate prices for milk farmers in rural Kenya.
"Hawajakubali kuwa walishindwa," Sudi says of the August, 2022 general election.
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is also the Azimio coalition chairman backed the presidential candidature of Raila Odinga. Raila lost to Ruto, garnering 6,942,930 votes against the latter's 7,176,141 votes.
"Mkumbali kwamba mlishindwa....lazima bei ya maziwa ifike KSh70 kwenda juu..lazima kila mtu alipe ushuru...."
One of the biggest milk processors -Brookside Dairies- is associated with the former First family.
Speaking during an inter-denominational thanksgiving service at Kerugoya Stadium in Kirinyaga County on Sunday, January 23, President Ruto alleged that the opposition rallies are being financed by "cartels in the agriculture sector."
“The middlemen in the tea, coffee and milk sectors have financed the protests because we have vowed to eradicate cartels," he said. "They can finance whatever they want to finance but our farmers will no longer be slaves of brokers and cartels.”
Sudi also wades into the controversial claims on an alleged plot to eliminate Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairman Wafula Chebukati prior to the announcement of the bitterly contested poll.
He claims there were snipers stationed at Bomas ready to eliminate Chebukati.
"Mimi nataka niambie rafiki yangu Raila Odinga...hii Kenya ni yetu sisi wote...haina ukabila...haina wewe unatoka wapi," adds Sudi.
