Speaking to the press, the national school's Board of Management(BOM) strongly denied any alleged malpractices by the candidates or administration.

The BOM Chairperson Lazarus Okioma says that education authorities and the Kenya National Examination Council officials made regular visits to the institution when KCSE was being conducted and should have detected irregularities, if any.

While insisting that the sterling performance is not a fluke, and that they expected them, Okioma attributed it to the sound organization of the teaching staff and candidates led by the principal and maximum support from the BOM.

He regretted that critics were describing the school as ‘’little known’’ yet it was in the national school's category.

Charles Nyandusi, the chairman of Nyamira County Education Board clarified it was not the first time the school had excelled in the national examinations.

Nyandusi says that Nyambaria High School had steadily improved its performance from a mean score of 8.01 in 2019 to 10.8 in 2022.

Okioma challenged the "doubting Thomases" to check with the KNEC Quality Assurance department to allay their fears.
