Saitabao: "Baba is Kenya's Mandela, I'm only checking him"

In Summary
"Baba is Kenya's Mandela. If Mandela was not as focused as he was, South Africa would still be under apartheid rule today. Some of us are trying to redirect Baba to go back to being the person that we know he is capable of," Saitabao Kanchory says.
Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition's chief agent during the August 9 2022 General Election Saitabao Kanchory claims Raila Odinga has lost his way and needs to be "checked".
"Baba is Kenya's Mandela. If Mandela was not as focused as he was, South Africa would still be under apartheid rule today. Some of us are trying to redirect Baba to go back to being the person that we know he is capable of," Kanchory said in an interview with Spice FM.
This comes days after he called out Raila for rejecting the presidential election results at a rally in Kamukunji. During the rally.
"Baba should give a clear way forward or hold his pace. Kenyans don't have time for silly games," Kanchory opined.
'I am in Azimio'
He further dismissed claims of allegedly ditching Azimio, saying he has been a staunch supporter of the coalition party.
"I don't know if Baba has a bigger supporter than me. It will be remembered that I put my life on the line to defend these results."
At the said Kamukunji rally, Raila accused the Supreme Court of dismissing evidence presented against President Ruto's win, particularly about the alleged forgery conducted by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) Chairperson Wafula Chebukati.
"I do not recognize Ruto as the President of Kenya. I demand an audit of the August 9 polls and that should be made public."
Professor Makau Mutua, spokesperson during Raila's 2022 presidential campaign affirmed that Azimio was going to "reclaim victory".
"Everybody knew that Azimio was going to win. On our side, our folks are just depressed because they did not expect to not be declared the winner. We will stop at nothing to reclaim our victory!" Mutua said during an interview with Citizen TV on Wednesday, January 25.
Azimio is expected to hold yet another rally at Jacaranda Grounds on Sunday, January 29.
Meanwhile, President Ruto insists he will not agree to a handshake with Raila as was witnessed during former President Uhuru Kenyatta's regime.
