Woman "cheating" on husband torches his house for marrying second wife

Police in Kakamega County have arrested a woman reported to have assaulted her husband and torched his house over a domestic dispute.

The suspect, Florence Karakacha, allegedly got angry at her husband Bramwel Lubanga for marrying a second wife. This led to a heated argument which swiftly turned violent. Karakacha reportedly bit her husband's lip, injuring him severely.

The 43-year-old woman reportedly went on to light the man's house before running off to Ematiha Police Station. In her statement, she claimed it was the husband who first attacked her.

Officers arrested Lubanga before receiving another account of what transpired from one of their sons Rayton Lubanga and some neighbours.

Apparently, the man opted to marry a second wife after finding out his wife was having an affair with his brother. 

Confirming the incident, Navakholo OCPD Richard Omanga said the mother of five is under police custody awaiting arraignment.
