"She was an obedient girl" - Woman in Juja drowning incident laid to rest

Fridah Warau Kamuyu, the 23-year-old lady who drowned with a male companion at Titanic Dam, Juja mid-last month has been laid to rest.
Warau was buried at her family's rural home in Kamacharia village, Murang'a County. Her funeral, unlike that of Tirus Maina Gikonyo [the man she was with on the fateful evening], had farewell thee well speeches and flowers.
Her eulogy was also relatively comprehensive, unlike that of Maina which was only three paragraphs long.
"The late Fridah started her schooling at Kagwanja Primary School in the year 2005 where she studied and graduated with a KCPE certificate in the year 2014. She proceeded to secondary school at Butere Girls and did her KCSE in the year 2019. She enrolled at Uzuri Institute Thika for a Diploma course in Hotel Catering and Management," read the eulogy in part.
She had four siblings namely Mary Wanjiru, Anne Nyambura, Bildad Wachira and Monicah Wangui.
"Fridah was brought up well by her parents, she was an obedient girl," added the eulogy.
Fridah was in the company of Tirus when the Nissan X-Trail they were in plunged into the dam. Her body was recovered on the night of the January 17 incident. It was taken to the City Mortuary as unidentified.
Later, family members with the help of Juja police were able to identify the body. On his part, Tirus was buried in Gumba village, Mukurwe-ini constituency, Nyeri County on January 28.
