Ruto, Uhuru and Raila likely to share podium as Prof. Magoha is laid to rest

Former Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha will be laid to rest today (Saturday, February 11) in Umiru village, Gem Sub-County, Siaya County.

The funeral is expected to bring top politicians from across the political divide on the same podium.

President William Ruto, his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta and Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition leader Raila Odinga could all attend the funeral.

The family has since asked leaders attending the funeral to steer clear of politics.

Apart from Ruto, Raila and Uhuru, other top leaders expected at the funeral are Wiper Democratic Movement Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Democratic Action Party of Kenya leader Eugene Wamalwa, Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua and some Cabinet Secretaries who served with the late Magoha.
