Students from Meshack Tumkou Boys Secondary School in West Pokot County have camped outside the governor's residence demanding removal of their principal.

They marched from school early Wednesday morning hoping to get assistance from the Ministry of Education offices in the nearby Kapenguria Town.

Speaking to TV47 Digital, the students accused their principal of mismanaging funds.

"We believe our pleas will be heard by the Ministry of Education officers here. We stood outside the ministry's office for more than 30 minutes before deciding to come here(the governor's office)," one of the students explained.

They claimed to have maintained peaceful protests and did not damage school property.

This comes a day after a group of students from Chepkorniswo boys high school within Kapenguria Constituency also marched to the county offices on similar allegations.
