Medical intern, 19, arrested for raping patient at gynaecology ward

Police in Uganda have arrested a 19-year-old medical intern attached to the Entebbe Grade B Hospital for allegedly raping one female patient.
Kutesa Denis is reportedly said to have identified his victim from the gynaecology ward where he drugged her with suspected chloroform before raping her.

"Suspected chloroform substances were recovered from his place of residence at the hospital, and a letter was found where he requested to be prayed for immoral thoughts he had been experiencing," Owoyesigyire said.
Police have also requested for any victim of Kutesa's acts to come forward and report the incident.
"We would like to inform the public that it is possible that there may be more victims of Mr. Kutesa Denis’ alleged crimes, and we urge anyone who may have been a victim to come forward and report to the nearest police station," Owoyesigyire added in a statement.
Meanwhile, the suspect is currently being held at the Entebbe Central Police Station.
