PSC amends CAS shortlist: Washiali, Kosgey among 14 others added

In Summary
Among those originally shortlisted for the CAS positions include former senators Anuar Loitiptip (Lamu), Fredrick Outa (Kisumu), Cleophas Malala (Kakamega), Millicent Omanga (nominated), and Isaac Mwaura (nominated).
Others are former MPs Margaret Wanjiru (Starehe), Kimani Ngunjiri (Bahati), Chris Wamalwa (Kiminini), Charles Njagua Kanyi (Starehe), Khatib Mwashetani (Lungalunga), Cornelly Serem (Aldai), Purity Wangui Ngirici (Kirinyaga Woman Rep.), Isaac Mwaura (Nominated), Dennitah Ghati (Migori Woman Rep.), Catherine Waruguru (Laikipia Woman Rep.) and Wilson Sossion (nominated).
The Public Service Commission (PSC) has amended the list of shortlisted candidates for the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) positions.
The PSC Chairperson Antony Muchiri said the latest list that "supersedes the one which was published on 21st February 2023" will have an additional 16 candidates, with a majority of these new individuals being poll losers.
Former Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali, Nandi gubernatorial aspirant Allan Kosgey and former Baringo County Speaker Kiplagat David Korir are among those whose names have been added to the list.
Also included in the list are; former Kibwezi West MP UDA candidate James Mbaluka, former Mandera Senator Mohamed Maalim Mohamud, and former Kenya's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mohamud Ali Saleh.
Other who have been added include; Loice Chepchirchir Rono, former Migori County Assembly Minority Leader Nicholas Ngabiya Rioba, David Sande Oyolo, Mohammeddin Ibrahim Ibrein, Esther Nduku Muia, and Lucy Mihiuko Muchoki.
Interviews
The shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at the PSC offices, off Harambee Avenue Nairobi, starting on 1st March, 2023.
A total of 5,183 Kenyans applied for the positions, with PSC shortlisting only 240 now.
