"Only new aspect in Raila's politics is copying Bobi Wine, Julius Malema" - ex-governor

In Summary
Raila has since given the government a 14-day ultimatum to lower taxes and reduce the cost of living or face nationwide protests.
- "We have complained about rising taxes and the withdrawal of subsidies to food and education in the middle of drought and famine, which was reckless and heartless. Consequently, the subsidies must be restored, and the cost of basic commodities and taxes must come down in the next 14 days,” Odinga said last week at a national prayer rally at Jevanjee Gardens, Nairobi.
Former Tana River Governor Hussein Dado has accused Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition of inciting Kenyans against the Kenya Kwanza Government that was duly elected in office during the August 9 202 General Elections.
Dado says that the government of the day was formed by Kenya Kwanza Alliance under President William Ruto, wondering why some leaders - even up to date - have not accepted defeat, despite the Supreme Court upholding Ruto’s victory.
Addressing residents in Oda township during a wedding ceremony on Saturday, February 25, the former governor said it was strange that the same leaders - led by Raila Odinga - now claim they do not recognise President Ruto.
“They have no any new ideas year in year out they always conduct rallies, mass demonstrations, mass action, they do not bring any new ideas,” he said.
'Copying Bobi Wine, Julius Malema'
Dado alleged that the Azimio coalition had resorted to copying Bobi Wine of Uganda and Julius Malema of South Africa by wearing the Red berets attire in their rallies, ridiculing that that is the only new thing in Raila's politics.
He further said that Raila would have earned much respect globally and become the Mandela of Kenya but he is misleading jobless youths.
“Ruto is president and God willing he will continue ruling in 2027, and finish his second term then hand over the baton, if people can try after there it is alright,” he said.
Dado, who also served as Chief Administrative Secretary in the Interior Ministry during the Jubilee Administration - said the government is strong and is implementing developmental projects as expected.
