Miguna Miguna addresses rumours he will be one of the new IEBC Commissioners

Lawyer Miguna Miguna has dismissed rumors he could be appointed as one of the new Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners.
One user on Twitter sparked the discussion on Saturday evening by saying:
"I have a feeling Miguna Miguna will be one of the IEBC new Commissioners," the user identified as Kimari Maina said.
The lawyer however dismissed the remarks saying "I haven’t applied!"
Maina did not stop at that, as he urged Miguna to go for the chairmanship position at IEBC.
"The positions have not been advertised but when they do, u should General. Go for Chairmanship."
Charles Kamau, another Twitter user joined in the conversation, telling Miguna "don't be shy".
"Not applying has nothing to do with being shy since I am more than qualified. I have exercised my freedom not to apply!" a relentless Miguna replied.
Twitter users however went on pushing the "General" to consider making application for the IEBC commissioners' positions.
"You should apply," Colins Kipterter said.
Another, Geoffrey Kiprono opined, "All the very best General, viva !!!"
Chief Justice Martha Koome on March 2 presided over the swearing-in of a seven-member panel tasked with the recruitment of new IEBC commissioners.
This follows the end of tenure of Chairperson Wafula Chebukati, Abdi Guliye and Boya Molu.
Three commissioners-Juliana Cherera, Justus Nyangaya, Francis Wanderi- resigned while Commissioner Irene Masit's appointment was revoked by President William Ruto.
