MP Babu Owino appeal to President Ruto to have 3,000 graduates admitted to Kenya School of Law

Students who pursued their studies from 2015 to 2022 have not been admitted to KSL on the grounds that they did not score a minimum of B(Plain) in English and Kiswahili.
The aggrieved students - through Embakasi East Member of Parliament - Babu Owino wants the head of state to come to the aid of the students.
He told journalists at Milimani Law Courts on Tuesday, March 14 that refusal by the KSL contradicts the Legal Education Act.
Poor students
The lawmaker says that most students, despite scoring first and second class honours, come from humble backgrounds and education is the only independent livelihood.
He says that he has taken upon himself to pursue the matter that is now pending at the Supreme Court.
The MP further says that students can not practice as advocates or lawyers since the requirement is that one must be a diploma holder from KSL.
