Nick Salat leads KANU defectors to Ruto's UDA Party

Former KANU Secretary General Nick Salat on Wednesday, March 15 led a team of defectors from the party into joining the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

Speaking at the ruling party's headquarters in Nairobi, Salat said that they have joined UDA on their on volition, assuring that no one has forced them into making the decision.

While acknowledging that they were part of Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition in the run up to the August 2022 General Election, Salat said that they tried their level best to ensure that Raila Odinga wins the presidency, but that did not suffice.

"Uchaguzi ilipita na ikaenda, tulijaribu mbinu zote na ikaenda, imeenda kabiiiiiiiisa," Salat, in his usual element, said.
