A man who was allegedly thrown out of a moving bus along the Thika Superhighway has died.
The deceased, Nahashon Ng'ang'a Mwangi, is said to have been thrown out of a bus registered under Lopha M.P. Sacco by a conductor on Sunday, March 12 morning while en route to Nairobi from Ruiru.
Earlier reports indicated that Mwangi had an altercation with the conductor that turned physical.
The deceased was admitted at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital where he died on Wednesday, March 15.
Lopha MP Sacco released a statement over the weekend following accusations against the Sacco which operates in the following areas; Thika road, Makongeni, Ruaka, Highridge, Westlands to Kiambu.
"We have taken note of the reports circulating on social media of a conductor, in a bus operating under Lopha M.P. Sacco, threw a passenger out of a moving bus.
"We would like to notify the public that the police are investigating the incident and we will issue a full statement once the investigations are done," part of the statement read.
At the time, the sacco's management reported that Mwangi was undergoing treatment at KU Hospital and was in stable condition.
They further urged the public to provide information that could assist in the investigations.
A billing report from the hospital indicates that the deceased incurred a bill of KSh311,000.
