"I'm ready to honour DCI summons over sentiments against Raila" - DP Gachagua

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has said he is ready to honour summoning by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) over sentiments against Raila Odinga.
"I am ready to avail myself there. Even if I will be detained on Friday and released on Monday I have no problem. I will record my statement and conclude with my signature or sign off with my fingerprint," Gachagua said during a joint vernacular media interview on Friday.
On Wednesday, March 15 the second in command hinted at "having a final solution to Raila" whom he claimed to have destroyed the country for 50 years.
Azimio leader Raila hit back at Gachagua during a rally in Nakuru on Thursday, saying he did not deserve the position of DP.
"I want to tell Gachagua that he has no right to stand before the people of Kenya as the Deputy President. Where was he when we were troubling Kenyans as he claims?" Raila posed.
In reference to the "final solution for Raila", the former Prime Minister said he was ready to pay the ultimate price for his cause.
"You can assassinate Raila Odinga physically but you cannot assassinate his ideas and beliefs," he said as the crowd charged up.
