- Raila Odinga has maintained that Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition's mass action on Monday, March 20 will be peaceful.
- Raila is urging all Kenyans and businesspersons not to worry because their demonstrations within the Nairobi metropolitan area will be peaceful.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki has warned the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition against disrupting normalcy in the country, because then they will have the police to deal with .
In a statement released on Sunday, March 19, CS Kindiki stated that any person - regardless of his or her status in society - who incites public disorder or otherwise breaches the peace in any part of the country shall be prosecuted.
The warning by Kindiki follows that of the National Police Service (NPS) which declared Azimio's Monday mass action in Nairobi illegal. The NPS said that it was not notified on time as the law dictates.
Kindiki has, however, maintained that Monday 20th March 2023 is a normal working day and all activities including learning in schools and other educational institutions should proceed normally, while assuring the safety.
