Kimende: Two killed, four seriously injured as Nissan Patrol smashes head-on into a lorry

Two people were on Sunday, March 19 killed and four others seriously injured when a vehicle they were travelling in was involved in an accident in Kimende, Lari Sub-County, Kiambu County.
The accident occurred on the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway when a Nissan Patrol car heading towards the Nakuru general direction was involved in a head-on collision with a lorry.
Eye witnesses told TV47 Digital that the car was overtaking other vehicles when it collided head-on with the oncoming lorry.
Two occupants of the Nissan Patrol died on the spot, while two others were badly injured. The driver and turnboy of the lorry were also injured in the accident. They were rushed to Kijabe Mission Hospital.
The deceased were taken to Uplands Mortuary.
Residents are now calling upon drivers to be careful in order to reduce fatal accidents that often occur at the spot.
