Two members of notorious gang that had attacked motorists arrested

Police in Kericho County on Sunday, May 21 thwarted a robbery with violence attempt along the Muhoroni-Kipsitet Road in Bangla area.
The National Police Service (NPS) reports that five armed gangsters had attacked a vehicle - a Mitsubishi Fuso - driven by two men along the road.
"Officers from Kipsitet Police Station while on patrol, encountered motor vehicle Mitsubishi Fuso driven by two men, with farm produce to Busia from Tanzania," the NPS says, adding that "the duo were being robbed by five gangsters, that had cut the rear canvas of the vehicle."
Police arrested two of the suspected thugs, only identified as 26-year-old Odhiambo, and 19-year-old Simon.
The officers also recovered two home-made guns fitted with five rounds of .22mm ammunitions, metallic axe, kitchen knife, two torches and an Infinix mobile phone.
