Barely a month since an alleged raid by police at his home, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is in search of ex-Mungiki leader Maina Njenga.
Njenga is reportedly wanted for questioning over two firearms and 90 rolls of bhang recovered at his home in Nakuru County.
"In the raid conducted at Ngomongo village in Dundori ward, the officers who arrested 8 suspects aged between 37 and 54 also found three rounds of 9mm blank ammunition hidden in one of the rooms," the investigative agency adds.
Apparently, one of the firearms is homemade although operational while the other is a Tokarev whose serial number had been defaced.
DCI is now urging anyone with information on Njenga to reach out to them.
During the May 12 incident, police officers allegedly raided his homes in Nairobi, Nakuru, Nyahururu and Laikipia.
His employees claimed they were ambushed and the officers did not explain who or what they were searching for.
