Police in Kiambu County have arrested two suspects in connection to the disappearance of KSh8 million stolen from a local businessman.

In the incident reported late last month by the businessman’s wife, the money was allegedly stolen from a safe hidden at an abandoned fuel station located in Kinangop, Nyandarua County.

Police say the suspects - identified as Moses Cherish and Eliud Wangai - might have gained entry into the building through the roof before breaking the safe and stealing the cash.

"A total of KSh2.5 million has since been recovered from the suspects... The third suspect David Mushendu is still at large," says the police.

The suspects are facing charges of Stealing by Servant contrary to Section 281 of the Penal Code.
