Spider Clan lost money from YouTube

In a video on TikTok by @dhee__kloger one group member Banguz, narrates how their song was a hit on YouTube yet they were not making any money.

According to Banguz, the song Rieng Genje (Kaveve Kazoze) did not belong to them but to the producer who produced the beat track.

Moreover, the group was not aware of how one could own music and only realized later on that they did not own their song.

In addition, Banguz told dhee__kloger that upon realizing this, it was too late but they managed to gain ownership of their song.

Promoters conned them

Banguz went on to highlight how promoters and advertisers used them for their fame and reach at the time without adequately compensating them.

He recalled one promoter asking for a free show due to the harsh economic times which did not help the group.

The group would agree in unison that the song Rieng Genje only gained them fame but nothing else came with the fame.

As an appeal to fans, Banguz shared that Spider Clan is open to accepting any appearances and performances to help its current situation.
