Education cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu has disclosed that there will be no sending of short messages to a short code for receiving 2023 KCSE results.
Speaking during the release of 2023 KCSE results at Moi Girls High School Eldoret, Machogu said that candidates will have to get their results through the KNEC website or from their respective schools.
In the 2023 KCSE, 1,216 candidates scored a mean grade of A plain, out of which 825 were male while 391 were female.

At the same time, 7,254 candidates scored A-, out of which 4,472 were male while 2,782 were female candidates.
The number of candidates who attained the minimum university entry qualification (Grade C+ and above) was 201,133 (22.27%) in the year 2023 KCSE examination compared to 173,345 (19.62%) in the year 2022.
18,078 candidates scored a B+ in the 2023 KCSE examinations while 36,728 scored a B plain.
Additionally, those who scored B- were 59,514 candidates as 78,343 2023 KCSE candidates scored a C+.
Those who scored a C plain were 92,612 candidates while some 107,471 candidates scored C-.
125,006 candidates scored a D+ while 155,276 students scored a D plain in the 2023 KCSE examinations.
In addition, 165, 861 candidates scored grade D- as 48,174 candidates scored a mean score of E.
However, KNEC cancelled results for four candidates over impersonation. The examination council also withheld marks for 4,109 KCSE candidates.
