Businesswoman Noela Toywa has opened up about her next steps following her recent breakup with popular comedian Oliver Otieno, widely known as YY.

In an emotional yet resolute statement, Noela disclosed her intention to seek therapy, describing it as a necessary move for personal healing and growth.

Months after splitting from Marya Okoth, YY announced his relationship with Noela in November 2024.

To show off their relationship, YY took Noela on an opulent helicopter ride and lunch date, which attracted fans’ attention.

When questioned about his decision to start a new relationship so quickly after his split from Marya, YY defended it.

“I am a family person. I would love to build a family for myself,” he said.

He went on to advise men against taking long breaks after relationships, noting, “Ukijipea break ata miezi sita, hutawai move on na hutawai taka mambo ya wanawake.”

YY also hinted at possible wedding plans with Noela, saying, “We leave that to God, but we pray it’s as soon as possible.”

Notwithstanding the encouraging beginning, however, things took a different turn months later when YY confirmed that he and Noela were no longer together, following weeks of rumors that there might be problems in their relationship.

YY’s failure to celebrate Noela’s birthday in December sparked suspicions among his fans, who had become used to seeing their love publicly displayed.

“Tuliachana. Watu huwachana, si ni life.” While he chose not to elaborate on the reasons behind their split, the revelation came as a surprise to many, given the public manner in which their relationship had been introduced.

Noela had an incognito Q&A session with her Instagram followers on January 6.

She avoided answering the questions directly, even though the majority of the questions focused on her connection with YY.

When a fan asked if she had started therapy, Noela replied that she had not yet started sessions despite a friend having recommended a therapist.
