Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua has differed with her Wiper counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka, maintaining that Azimio-One Kenya Coalition does not recognise President William Ruto.
According to Karua, only the law recognises Ruto as head of state but not her, insisting that the August 9 2022 Presidential Election results were manipulated.
Karua’s sentiments comes at a time when Kalonzo, on Saturday, September 2 said that the opposition now recognises President Ruto because of his commitment to the bipartisan talks.
Karua says Kalonzo’s statement is not true.
Kalonzo: ‘We recognise you’
“We congratulate the President’s for putting his foot down and supporting the continuation of the talks,” Kalonzo, who co-chairs the National Dialogue Committee, had said.
He added: “Because of his [President Ruto] stand, we recognise him and we will wait for the next time because who knows? God’s plans may be with us next.”
