The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) on Tuesday, March 25 announced that it is experiencing a system downtime.
Due to the downtime in their systems, NTSA says that its services are temporarily unavailable.
“Dear esteemed clients, We are currently experiencing a system downtime, and our services are temporarily unavailable,” NTSA announced.
“Our technical team is working to resolve the issue and restore full functionality as soon as possible,” the Authority added.
NTSA apologised to Kenyans for the inconveniences occasioned by the system downtime, pledging to notify the public once the system is back.
NTSA is among the leading government agencies that have digitised their services and onboarded on the e-Citizen platform.
In November 2024, NTSA received a presidential award for the strides it has achieved in digitising their services, significantly enhancing efficiency in the public sector and increasing government revenue.

The Authority received the award under the All-Time Highest Transaction in the Corporate Category. NTSA has made all its services accessible online, allowing Kenyans to renew driving licenses for boda bodas, public service vehicles (PSVs), and private vehicles, obtain logbooks and facilitate motor vehicle buying and selling as well as book and pay for motor vehicle inspections.
