Nyako Pilot: I’m not facing deportation, I am working towards becoming a German citizen

German-based Tiktoker Rose Atieno, alias Nyako Pilot, has clarified her previous statements about potential deportation from Germany, presenting a different perspective on her immigration status.

Contradicting earlier assertions of imminent deportation and utility cutoffs, Nyako now firmly says she’s safe in Germany and is working towards becoming a German citizen.

“I’m not facing deportation. I’m in Germany because of my children. My residence permit is tied to them, and nothing can separate me from them,” Nyako stated.

“Before jumping to conclusions about deportation, I have officially qualified to be a German citizen. So, that is my right,” she added.

This is very different from what she said in her earlier livestream, where she asked for help from Kenyans to adopt her three children.

‘My deportation papers are ready, and I don’t know who will take care of my children,” She said.

Nyako has had a challenging time in Germany with past troubles linked to her life in Kenya, including admitting to being a sex worker. Even though she has faced criticism, she openly accepts her past as an important part of her present.

The Deportation

Nyako herself had previously stated that she was in the process of being deported from Germany, providing limited details. The TikToker based in Germany asserted that her electricity and water services had already been disconnected in anticipation of her deportation.

‘I have been cut off from electricity, and I’m seeking contributions. They said I’ll be deported next weekend, so I don’t need electricity. My deportation papers are ready, and they have cut off my electricity, imagine even water. The deportation papers are ready, and now I don’t know who will adopt my children,’ Nyako stated.

She also mentioned that her children would not be deported alongside her because they hold German citizenship.

‘Which Kenyan will volunteer to live with my children? Because once a mother is deported, who will the children stay with? My children cannot be sent back to Kenya because they have German citizenship,’ she added.
