Nyandarua Senator John Methu has announced the passing of his father turning his Christmas into a grieving season.

Taking to social media, Senator Methu disclosed that his father lost his life on Monday morning.

“Death is painful and cruel. The pain of loosing a parent is immeasurable. My dad rested this morning,” the politician wrote.

Kenyans flooded the comment section with condolence messages.

Mukurweini Member of Parliament, a close ally of Senator Methu, wrote:

“Pole sana bro for this immesurable loss that has befallen you and your family. May u be comforted and have peace knowing dad is in a better place.”

“Pole sana Kaba Methu Senator Nyandarua. May God grant you peace that surpasses human understanding,” Facebook user Daniel Kahuthu wrote.

“May his Soul rest well and it shall be with you its sad indeed but may you find Peace & Comfort in Christ Jesus,” Wanjiru AlexSir added.

“I express my heartfelt condolences mheshimiwa. It is well,” Mwalimu P Gachanja commented.

A certain publication indicates that the 31-year-old senator was taken to live with his grandmother two months after he was born following his parents’ separation.

Further that for many years, Senator Methu believed his grandmother was his real mother and even referred to his biological mother as ‘auntie Njeri’.
