ODM party leader Raila Odinga celebrates his 79th birthday

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga on Sunday January 7, 2024 celebrated his 79th birthday.

Raila Odinga was born on January 7, 1945, to Mary Juma Odinga and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga at the Anglican Church Missionary Society Hospital in Maseno, Kisumu District.

“We join the Nation and the World in praying for our Party Leader, the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga’s good health and luck as he celebrates his birthday today. 

“As a party, we are proud to be a part of this amazing journey of excellence and success. Happy Birthday Sir,” ODM noted in a statement.

At the same time, Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly (MCA) Robert Alai was among the Kenyans who wished Raila a happy birthday. 

“On this momentous day, I extend my deepest and most heartfelt wishes to you, a true pillar of strength and inspiration in our nation’s journey.

“Your unrelenting dedication and tireless efforts in shaping Kenya’s destiny are not just commendable but deeply moving.

“As the father of devolution and a luminary of our second liberation, you have stood as a beacon of hope and resilience.

“Your vision and leadership in the Orange Democratic Movement have given birth to a generation of leaders imbued with principles and strength, capable of inspiring many more to come.

“Your mentorship has been a guiding light in my political journey, teaching me the essence of genuine and impactful leadership.
