Olopade, Uchegbulam reject NFF positions

Former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Vice President, Amanze Uchegbulam, and Ogun State’s former sports commissioner, Bukola Olopade, have turned down their various appointments by the Federation.

The NFF recently announced names of members of its committees with Uchegbulam, a foremost football administrator and Chairman, Imo State Football Association, in the newly constituted Facilities Committee, while Olopade is listed in the Standing and Ad-Hoc Committee.

Olopade said he wouldn’t have the time for the NFF committee job, adding, “At the moment, engagements won’t allow me function as a committee member.”
Uchegbulam told wakawaka sportsextra that he has been serving in several committees in NFF and CAF since 1994, adding that younger ones should be allowed to gain experience. He recommended the current vice chairman of Imo FA to serve on the Facilities Committee.

The Guardian learnt yesterday that some top officials of the NFF are disturbed by the duo’s rejection of the appointment, considering their experience on the job.
