In his view, Kenya could have performed better at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games which concluded.
Additionally, Kenya was able to bring back home a total of 11 medals; 4 gold, 2 silver, and 5 bronze.
However, according to sports journalist Lucky Herriano, Kenya could have gotten better results and more medals home if they picked different athletes.

Pressed further by TV47’s Sports journalist and Mchakamchaka host Duncan Mutua on what he would change in the Kenya tryouts, Lucky evaded the question.
According to Lucky Herriano, Ferdinand Omanyala’s weight and build should have been enough to disqualify him from the Kenyan Olympics tryouts.
Furthermore, Lucky based his assessment on Omanyala’s competition at the 2024 Olympics for the 100m race.

Herriano also admitted that Omanyala qualified for the Olympics during the trials here in Kenya to warrant him being in Paris.
However, Lucky did state that something could have changed between Omanyala’s tryouts and during the races while in France.
He noted that given Omanyala’s ‘heavy build,’ it could have warranted special training during his time while competing at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
