Omwanza Ombati sworn in as new JSC member

Samson Omwanza Ombati has today (Tuesday, May 14) been sworn in as a member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) representing the Law Society of Kenya.

At a function presided over by Chief Justice Martha Koome, Ombati takes over from Macharia Njeru whose term ended on May 13, 2024.

Ombati appreciated the members of LSK for electing him for the position, which he will serve for five years, and ensured them that the welfare of lawyers will be addressed.

“Members of LSK are very passionate about their welfare that’s why they are here in numbers… I can assure you that these members are members with goodwill,” he said.

The guests in present were Judicial Service Commissioner Isaack Ruto, Solicitor General Shadrack Mose, Majority Whip Sylvanus Osoro and senior lawyers.

Ombati was elected to the position in February during the LSK elections.
