Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, wife of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, expressed her views about the impeachment motion against her husband during an event at Maximum Miracle Centre in Nairobi.

Speaking on Sunday September 29, 2024, she dismissed the process, emphasizing that her husband can only be removed through prayers.

“I have a man that I love. Many of you call him the real G, others call him the truthful man. He is the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, where many people have a problem believing that yet he was sworn in. He was prayed for on the altar,” Dorcas said.

According to the second lady, many people still have a problem believing that her husband is the Deputy President, and that, according to her, it might be the reason why Gachagua is facing political tribulations.

She criticized those pushing for the impeachment, attributing it to her husband’s straightforward nature, and encouraged him to stay focused, trusting that only divine intervention could help him.

Dorcas highlighted that Gachagua was lawfully sworn in and that only the “Lord of vengeance” could decide his fate.

The impeachment motion is being pushed by some MPs who accuse Gachagua of constitutional violations, gross misconduct, and abuse of office, with claims that he promotes ethnic-based politics.

However, Dorcas dismissed these accusations and reaffirmed her faith in prayer.
