Several high-profile cases are coming up in Kenyan courts this week.
The case in which Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi is charged with forgery, and providing false information will be heard on Monday, December 11, 2023.
The legislator is accused of using forged academic certificates to get clearance from the IEBC to vie in elections.
Okoth Obado corruption case
The case in which former Migori Governor Okoth Obado and 7 others have been charged with conspiracy to commit economic crimes will also be heard on Wednesday, December 6 this year.
In the case, Obado and his co-accused allegedly misappropriated public funds through proxy companies.
Another former governor will be in court this week too. Mike Sonko and three others are charged with conflict of interest and allegations of embezzling KSh24.1 million from the Nairobi City County Government.
The case will be heard on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court.
