Owalo challenges professionals to take up leadership roles in Kenya

Deputy Chief of Staff Performance and Delivery Management in the executive office of the President Eliud Owalo has challenged professionals to take up leadership roles in the country.

He said the country needs people who are learned and professionals right from the MCA, Members of Parliament, Senate, Governors and all the way to the Presidency.

Speaking during the burial ceremony of the Kenya National Human Rights Commission Chairperson, Roseline Odede in Siaya County on Saturday January 18, 2025, Owalo said the late Roseline Odede was a performer who excelled in all the positions she served in the country.

He regretted that the current trend of populist politics is worrying and robbing the country of best leaders who can manage the affairs of counties and national government well.

The burial was attended by Raila Odinga, Governors Orengo, Anyang Nyong’o, Gladys Wanga, several senators, women reps, members of the national and county assembly among other senior government officials.
