Musician Esther Akoth aka Akothee has refuted social media rumors that her husband, Omosh, is a citizen of Pakistan.

The singer of Sweet Love revealed Omosh’s real name on Instagram and claimed that, in contrast to online rumors, she had met every member of his family.

“Secondly for those spreading stupid rumors, Denis Eduard Schweizer was born and raised in Switzerland Bern in 1988. Pakistan ni wewe na njaa ya kwenu,” she asserted.

Akothee went on to say that Schweizer’s mother was a single mum just like her.

“His mother and family live in Switzerland. I have met all his family members and his mother is such a sweet beautiful single mother.”

Reason behind nickname Omosh

She explained that the nickname ‘Omosh the 7th’ was to shield him from online trolls.

“I named my husband Mr Omosh to protect him from online rubbish before I introduced him online. Now that he is no longer online and you guys cooked your own things, went and deleted his social media accounts,” the mother of five added.

The ‘Sweet Love’ hitmaker reiterated that her love life would remain private.

“My marriage is offline and will never appear anywhere not in interviews nor mentions you deserve no clarification of what happened where.

“Any dog backing about Omosh and Pakistan Get A life. If I walk into your offices don’t ask about my husband, my marriage, Nelly Oaks, and the rest,” Akothee added.

Akothee denied breakup rumors

This comes days after she maintained that she had not broken up with Omosh despite online rumors.

“Why do they think we have broken up? I have not said we have broken up and they have already started calling me Ojingo the 8th,” the mother of five stated.

In yet another surprising turn, Akothee commented that heartbreaks are for teenagers.

“Being a single mother taught me how to differentiate between disappointments and heartbreaks. We no longer get heartbroken kwani how many hearts do you have wewe?” she stated.

Akothee affirmed that “Heartbreaks ni za teenagers siku hizi ni na heart attacks.”
