Parents urged to be closely monitor their children during holidays

Parents have been asked to caution and take a close monitoring mechanism of their children activities during this long holiday.

Speaking in Machakos County after a PP1/PP2 graduation ceremony of over 120 pupils from Earlybird Group of Schools, Charo Shedrack the school board of directors said there is need for close monitoring of children activities by parents especialy their activities over the phone, saying technology has become a threat to many children in the country especialy social media influence over young ones and many children are expossed to great danger during this long festive holiday.

Charo’s sentiments were echoed by the school kindergaten cordinator who asked parents to take this holiday as a bonding period for parents and children since in most cases parents have been too busy to bond with their children.

Parents were asked not to take their children to the villages since lifestyles have changed but instead spend quality time with their children.
