The influencer who sounded really hurt by Kiengei’s remarks ,responded to Kiengei’s apology in a video by saying ;

“I have been receiving hateful comments from people, body shaming me , people calling me ugly but I do assume all that because the people that were body shaming me and calling me ugly ,they’re not uglier than me, I do ignore them because I cannot abuse them,” she said.

“Earlier this week I have been receiving a lot of tags on this particular post but I did not understand because they were conversing in kikuyu, and the comment section was not open because the people were just saying this is not good, whatever you’re saying is not good etc,

But when I looked at the woman beside the Bishop, she was giggling and laughing and so I assumed it wasn’t a bad thing, but I received more tags and so I decided to ask a friend of mine to translate it that’s when she told me that the guy was body shaming me,” She continued

I was surprised a whole Bishop body shaming me.

I heard my name and my ex’s name that’s why I got concerned, so this Bishop goes ahead and calls me ugly, unattractive and fat as if that’s not enough, he goes ahead and calls my ex the same thing.

Additionally, from my eyes y’all can tell, a girl has been crying, I have been emotional for like 2 hours because that’s how I heal myself, I cry myself out and I cry myself to sleep sometimes.”

The incident has sparked discussions on the role of public figures in promoting positive messages and the responsibility they carry in influencing their audiences.

“You are an eye to someone, you are a father, you are like the eye of God .

I will locate your church this Sunday, because you know why?

I want you to tell me the same exact words in my eyes, and I want you to say them boldly while standing at the altar before your members the way you boldly said them when you were sitting down,” Vishy said.

Pastor Kiengei’s apology serves as a reminder of the power of words and the need for sensitivity, especially from those in positions of authority.
