A pastor in Kiamburu village of Githunguri, Kiambu County has claimed his life is in danger after he was kicked out of his home by his wife.
Pastor George Kamau Kirugi told the police that he can no longer go back to his home for fear of being attacked by men allegedly hired by his wife Elizabeth Njeri Gachahi.
Kamau, a pastor at Kamchege African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA) explained that problems began four years ago when he started fighting with his wife over property.
The situation worsened on January 16, 2023 when Kamau walked out of his matrimonial home and rented a house at Gitombe market, after his wife accused him of having love affairs with other women.

The pastor has also claimed that his wife has forcefully taken away his hard earned wealth.
For instance, he claims the wife has denied him access to his two-acre piece of land, a rental house in Kayole, a Toyota Probox car and a motorbike.
Kamau disclosed that his wife has refused to surrender some of the ownership documents of the properties registered in his name.
He added that despite reporting at Kibichio Police Station on several occasions for assistance, the officers have not helped in offering a solution.
In addition, he reported the same matter at Ruiru Police Station and Githunguri Police Station but he has not received any assistance.

“I have literally exhausted my energy and resources in search of justice. Unfortunately, there is no help forthcoming from all the police stations I have gone to. The disinterested officers keep tossing me from one station to the other,” lamented Kamau.
Kamau, a father of eight children, is now appealing to the Inspector General of Police Japheth Koome to intervene and help him reclaim his property.
“I am aware my wife wants to sell some of my property. I will be left with nothing if her intention is not stopped.
“I opened and stocked for her a shop but she is not satisfied and now wants to dispossess me of my car and motorcycle,” said Kamau.
On the other hand, his wife denied the accusations and blamed Kamau for walking away from their marriage.

“He is not being honest but just tarnishing my name. My husband is the one who left our home and started living with widowed women after selling our livestock, in fact he left with the bed and all beddings,” said Njeri.
Njeri added that it was wrong for her husband to tarnish her name, after they agreed to share the property.
“He took the Pick-Up vehicle while the Probox is mine. He cannot claim ownership for everything yet we accumulated the properties while living together as wife and husband,” said Njeri.
