Pastor James Ng’ang’a’s critique of Benny Hinn’s crusade in Kenya stirred up quite a storm.
The fiery founder of Neno Evangelism didn’t hold back as he lamented Hinn’s performance at Nyayo Stadium.
Ng’ang’a, who had eagerly anticipated witnessing the renowned televangelist’s ministry firsthand, found himself disappointed.
“I went there expecting to see the power of God at work through Hinn, but instead, I witnessed a struggle,” Ng’ang’a declared to his congregation on Sunday, February 25th.
Hinn’s inability to deliver left Ng’ang’a questioning the essence of the event and his own role within it. It was a stark revelation that sparked discussions far beyond the church walls.
In addition, he voiced his dissatisfaction with the lack of acknowledgment he received at the event, noting that he was only mentioned once and seated far from the main stage.
“I am a man of tactics. They placed me at a distant table, hardly visible. I was acknowledged only once. Greet somebody and tell them to mind their own business,” Pastor Ng’ang’a emphasized.
It is worth noting that Pastor Ng’ang’a’s church’s TV channel, Sasa TV, also broadcasted Hinn’s event.
Who attended Benny Hinn’s Crusade?
First Lady Rachel Ruto, the one who extended the invitation to the televangelist to visit Kenya, graced the crusade with her presence.
Among the crowd was renowned Kenyan televangelist Pastor Ezekiel Odero, easily identifiable in his distinctive white attire, clutching a Bible.
Hinn, addressing the Kenyan audience, urged them to appreciate having Rachel as their First Lady, emphasizing the nation’s blessings.
In an emotional moment, the First Couple, President William Ruto and Rachel, knelt on the podium as Hinn led a prayer for them.
Others in attendance were Rev. Teresia Wairimu, Pastor Pius Muiru, Rev. Cathy Kiuna, Pastor Harrison Ng’ang’a among others.
President William Ruto gave a sermon and quoted a versew from the Bible, “For the Lord your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations, but none will rule over you.” Deuteronomy 15:6
The two-day powerful crusade that took place from Saturday 24th Feb to Sunday 26 Feb, 2024 at Nyayo Stadium has been the talk of town, eliciting mixed emotions.
While others feel it was a great crusade to bless our Nation, Kenya, others felt it was mockery and the miracles performed were deceitful.
For example, a video trending on X of how Pastor Ezekiel was forced to fallmiraculouly after Benny Hinn’s prayers got many rolling with laughter and suspecting that his miracles might be fake.
