Hundreds of individuals who identify as dogs recently gathered in a city centre in Germany.
They engaged by barking and howling at one another during this unique and quite bizarre event.
Approximately 1,000 ‘trans-species’ activists convened at the Berlin Potsdamer Platz railway station in the German capital.
Their goal was to disassociate themselves from human identities and instead be recognized as dogs.
Video footage captured the sight of numerous participants adorned in elaborate costumes posing for a group photograph outside the station. This spectacle was likely quite unusual for commuters passing by.

Who are Transspecies?
Individuals who consider themselves ‘trans-species’ maintain that they do not see themselves as human beings.
However, they identify as specific animals or fantasy creatures.
Online reactions to this gathering varied, with one local resident suggesting, “Just abandon them in the Siberian tundra and let them survive with their canine instincts.”
This unusual canine convention followed the viral sensation of Toco, a human collie located in Japan.
Toco is however living his life-long dream of becoming a dog by wearing a hyperrealistic suit that costs KSh 2.2 million.
In a previous interview, Toco expressed his desire to meet others who share his canine aspirations.
Nonetheless, toco is commonly referred to as a “therian.” “I think it would be great if something like this existed,” he said. “I would like to meet them.”

What do experts on human dogs do?
Experts have called for a distinction between “therians,” who “identify as a creature other than human,”
According to psychological studies “Therians” are different from “furries,” who enjoy dressing up in animal suits as a form of cosplay.
However, It’s worth noting that animal-like behaviour has been fetishized as a BDSM kink known as “puppy play.”
“Puppy Play” is where participants, mostly men, use muzzles, collars, or leashes and engage in dog-like behaviour.
Nevertheless, adult content sites have sported models who have adopted this persona to milk on its popularity, finding it to be a lucrative endeavour.
